Kokedama has been around way longer than our little Koke and Twine business, but we fell in love with making these little bundles of happiness. So, what was once a hobby has blossomed into our business. With a lot of trial and error, passion and wine we created Koke and Twine. We aim to perfect and innovate, to bring you quality, beautiful and inspiring kokedama.

We love kokedama because we love nature, we love trying to bring the tranquility of the outdoors in and enjoy the flexibility of easily being able to move and care for them. They are our very own pieces of living art and we love sharing them. We love making them too and we encourage you to try it with our Kokedama starter kits. If you have a question? A growing piece of handmade art for your home

Our kokedama balls are made with the healthiest and most vibrant plants. We purchase them from local growers and steal some from our mum’s gardens too.

Each kokedama is handmade and therefore all pieces are unique in identity. We put a lots of thought and the design and passion into making them.

KOKEDAMA

Originated in Japan as a form of Bonsai. They are sometimes known as string gardens and translate to moss balls.  We have a real passion and respect for this art and love creating our own versions.

Care

Although Kokedamas last longer than flowers they still need some attention.

Simply instructions:

  • Submerge the ball in water for 5 minutes every few weeks.
  • Give it some sunlight every now and then.

There’s not a lot of extras you need other than water and a bit of sunlight to keep you kokedama happy. However, if you like to mix things up we have a load of extras for you. Coloured string, s-hooks, plant plates and holders and much more!

Postage and Delivery

Please note that due to quarantine restrictions, kokedamas cannot be posted to WA, TAS or NT.

When you purchase your Kokedama, we will do our best to get it to you as soon as possible. Depending on the size of the order and the kokedama depends on how we send and package your items – it may be through Australia Post or via courier. We prefer post early in the week to avoid kokedamas spending the weekend locked up in the post office.
